So, you just lost a tooth!

  • The long-ignored tooth damage led to the tooth being extracted
  • You had an accident and lost a few teeth
  • That all-important event is coming up
  • You need to close out the space to prevent the neighbouring teeth from invading, and prevent bite issues

🦷 Quick Facts — Dental Implants in Islamabad

❓ What is a dental implant

A medical-grade titanium post placed into the jawbone that replaces the root of a missing tooth and supports a crown or bridge.

🕐 How long does surgery take?

45–90 minutes per implant, under local anaesthesia.

⏳ Healing period

3–6 months for osseointegration — the bone fusing to the implant fixture.

📅 Total treatment time

Typically 4–6 months from consultation to final implant crown.

🙂 Recovery downtime

Most patients return to work within 24–48 hours.

✅ Success rate

95%+ at ten years for endosteal implants in healthy patients.

📅 Lifespan

The implant fixture can last a lifetime. The crown may need replacing at 15–20 years.

🧼What we treat

Missing Teeth Don’t Have to Be Permanent — But the Bone Loss Might Be

  • Losing a tooth isn’t just about the gap in the mirror.
  • Here’s what actually happens underneath. A natural tooth root presses into your jawbone every time you chew. That pressure is a signal — it tells the bone to keep rebuilding itself. Take the root away, and the signal stops.
  • The bone starts dissolving. Roughly 25% of the bone width around that socket is gone within twelve months. Within three years, 40–60% of the bone volume has resorbed.
  • This is why timing matters more than most patients realise.

What Tooth Loss Actually Costs You

Your bite collapses slowly.

The teeth on either side of the gap begin drifting into the space. The tooth above or below it starts over-erupting because nothing is meeting it.

Your face changes shape.

Jawbone deterioration shortens the lower third of the face. It’s the reason long-term denture wearers develop that sunken look around the mouth. It isn’t ageing — it’s bone loss.

Chewing gets harder than you admit.

Most patients quietly stop eating certain things. Naan becomes difficult. Meat gets avoided. Nuts are out. You adapt without noticing you’ve adapted.

Why Batteesi and Bridges Eventually Fall Short

Removable dentures — batteesi — restore about 25% of natural chewing force.

They rest on the gum, which means they do nothing to stop bone loss. In fact, as the bone underneath continues to shrink, the fit gets progressively looser. That’s why dentures need relining or replacing every few years.

A dental bridge means grinding down two healthy teeth.

To anchor a bridge, your dentist has to file down the teeth on either side of the gap — teeth that had nothing wrong with them. And the bone under the missing tooth still resorbs, because there’s still no root stimulating it.

A dental implant is the only option that replaces the root.

That’s the whole difference. The implant fixture takes over the job the root was doing, the jawbone keeps getting its signal, and bone preservation continues for decades.

The honest version:
if you’ve been missing a tooth for a few months, you’re likely still a straightforward candidate.
If it’s been years, you may need bone grafting first — which adds cost and months. Either way, a CBCT scan tells us in one visit.
Call 051-2223870 and let’s find out where you stand.

What Are Dental Implants?

  • Dental implants are a part of advanced restorative dentistry, a state-of-the-art solution for replacing missing teeth, providing a durable and natural-looking alternative to dentures or bridges.
  • An implant consists of a titanium post surgically inserted into the jawbone, acting as a sturdy foundation for a replacement tooth or a bridge.
  • Over time, the post fuses with the bone, ensuring a secure and stable fit.
  • Dental Implants are hands-down the best replacement for missing teeth, both aesthetically and functionally.

how do dental implants work?

A dental implant replaces the whole tooth — root included. Not just the visible part.

The Three Parts of a Dental Implant

  • The implant fixture. A small titanium screw, usually 8–14mm long, placed surgically into the jawbone. This is the artificial tooth root. Titanium is used for one specific reason: living bone will bond directly to it, which is true of almost no other metal.
  • The abutment. A small connector that screws into the fixture and sits just above the gum line. It links the implant to whatever sits on top.
  • The implant crown. The visible prosthetic tooth, custom-made to match the shade, shape and translucency of the teeth on either side. Done properly, nobody can pick out which tooth was replaced.

Osseointegration — The Part That Actually Matters

  • Osseointegration is the process of living bone growing directly onto the surface of the titanium fixture. Not around it. Onto it. Over 3–6 months, bone cells lay down new tissue across the implant surface until the fixture and the jawbone are functionally one unit.
  • It was discovered by accident in 1952, when Swedish researcher Per-Ingvar Brånemark found that titanium chambers he’d placed in rabbit bone couldn’t be removed afterwards. That accident is the foundation of every dental implant placed since.
  • We do not load an implant until osseointegration is confirmed. Not because we’re slow — because rushing this step is the single most common reason implants fail. We verify bone integration before the final restoration goes on. Every time.

Types of Dental Implants

Single Tooth Implants

  • Ideal choice for replacing one missing tooth
  • The Process: Placement of a small post in the jaw,
after a period of healing, an implant extension is placed
final restoration is completed with a crown.

All-on-4 Implant Bridges

  • A full-arch restoration using just four strategically placed implants.

Implant Dentures

  • Combine the stability of implants with the convenience of removable dentures.

Dental Implants We Place — Single and Multiple Teeth

We do one thing, and we do it properly: endosteal titanium implants, placed into the jawbone to replace teeth that are missing or have to come out.

That’s the most common and most thoroughly evidenced implant treatment in dentistry — around 95% of all dental implants placed worldwide, with 95–98% survival at ten years. It’s what the vast majority of patients walking into a clinic in Islamabad actually need..

Single Tooth Implant

One implant fixture, one abutment, one implant crown.
Replaces a single missing tooth without touching the healthy teeth on either side — which is the entire advantage over a dental bridge, where two sound teeth get ground down to carry the replacement.
Best for: one gap, front or back. The most common case we treat.

Multiple Tooth Implants

Several missing teeth, restored with individual implant crowns or an implant-supported bridge.
You don’t need one implant per missing tooth. Two well-placed fixtures can carry a bridge of three or four teeth, which means less surgery and lower cost than replacing each one individually. How many fixtures your case needs depends on where the gaps are, the bone available at each site, and the bite forces involved — all of which the CBCT scan tells us.
Best for: two or more missing teeth, whether consecutive or spread across the arch.

Implants at an Extraction Site

A large share of our cases start with a tooth that can’t be saved — a failed root canal, a fractured tooth, advanced decay or severe periodontal disease.
Here’s the part that matters, and it’s why we’d rather see you before the extraction than a year after it. When a tooth is removed, the socket immediately begins to collapse. Around 25% of the bone width is gone within twelve months.
So we plan the extraction and the implant together, not as two unrelated events. Depending on infection, bone quality and the site, that means either placing the implant into the fresh socket, or grafting the socket at the time of extraction to preserve the ridge for an implant a few months later.
Best for: anyone who has been told a tooth needs to come out — talk to us before it does.

Not sure what your case needs?

That’s what the consultation is for. A CBCT scan shows bone density, bone volume and nerve position in three dimensions — and that decides the answer, not a guess over the phone. 📞 051-2223870

What Our Dental Implant Treatment Includes

  • A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into your jawbone to act as the root of a missing tooth. Once it integrates with the bone, we attach a custom crown that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth — no slipping, no adhesives, no compromise on what you eat.

1️⃣ Consultation & 3D assessment

Dr. Usman examines your mouth, takes digital X-rays/scans, checks bone health, and gives you a clear written treatment plan and cost estimate before anything begins.

2️⃣Implant placement

Dr. Usman at Care N Cure places the titanium implant under local anaesthesia in a single, comfortable appointment. Most patients are surprised how straightforward it is!

3️⃣ Healing (osseointegration)

Over the next 8 to 16 weeks the implant fuses with your bone. Titanium has the ability to completely fuse with the bone, making the implant stable, and able to resist chewing forces.

4️⃣ Abutment & crown

We fit a connector (abutment), over which goes a colour-matched permanent crown, made to match the rest of the teeth by a careful 3D impression and shade-matching, finishing your new tooth.

Anyone who can quote you a firm price over the phone hasn’t looked at your bone, medical & dental history.

The Five Things That Move the Numbers

1. Which implant system your case calls for.
2. Whether you need bone grafting or a sinus lift.
